The potential risk created by using tyres in regards to metal contaminating the silage, is eliminated as the rubber compound has no metal.
The 22KG silage mats have grab handles for easier handling and don’t hold water, making the process of sheeting and un-sheeting a clamp more efficient and less dirty, when compared to tyres.
Bunker mats help maintain an air tight seal over the clamp as the 600mm x 1200mm surface area exerts a high PSI pressure onto the clamp when compared to 1200mm x 1800mm. The even distribution of the 22kg mat, aids better quality wet feed.
