Barn Mesh Curtains for Livestock Ventilation
Airkoe barn mesh curtains regulate the amount of fresh air entering cattle sheds, dairy barns and other livestock buildings. Because the curtain opens from the top down, you can introduce ventilation at a higher level while the lower part of the opening remains covered.
This helps reduce direct draughts at animal level while supporting consistent airflow throughout the building. You can also adjust the curtain as weather conditions change, helping to balance ventilation with protection from wind and rain.
The system suits large sidewall openings, exposed bays and other open sections of livestock and agricultural buildings that require adjustable weather protection. Bird netting can also be fitted without restricting the operation of the curtain.

Construction and Operation
Powered by a 380-volt electric drive, the top bar turns to raise or lower a tube attached to the top of the curtain. When the tube is lowered, the curtain folds, allowing for the system to opened from the top down.
Half-inch steel rods are incorporated every 60cm. These rods provide strength and stability when the curtain is closed while helping the material form neat, controlled folds when opened.
Manual and Automatic Climate Control
The Airkoe Safe System can be operated manually or connected to a climate-control computer. When automated, the curtains can open and close in response to changing temperature, wind and rain conditions.
This allows the system to adjust the building’s ventilation throughout the day, helping to maintain a more comfortable environment for livestock without requiring continual manual operation.
Materials and Optional Features
Various aspects of the system can be tailored to suit the appearance and requirements of any building. Available options include:
